It starts with a feeling, becomes a fleeting notion, and then it slowly builds into a fully-fledged image as I work the paint around the canvas. It ends as my impression of a natural world that is changing even as we watch it.  

I’ve been painting for more than 20 years but the feeling never changes: it’s the pathway to freedom, to reflection and then to clarity of thought and vision. It’s my way of capturing and preserving my impressions of the world.
